Assam reopens Schools and Colleges on September 1. A mandatory COVID-19 testing advised for all the teachers and employees of educational institutions.
Assam geared up to reopening of schools and colleges from September 1. The teachers and employees of the educational institutions will have to compulsorily get themselves tested for COVID-19 before resuming back to their respective institutions. The testing will begin from August 21 and those who test negative will only be allowed to join their work places.
As per the guidelines , released earlier for re-opening of colleges and schools the students below class IV will have to continue studying from home until further notice whereas, the classes from V to VIII will be started and held in the open areas such as school’s playground or any other identified open place. The classes for all the standards will be allowed with a maximum of 15 students to attend at a time.
Educational institutions in Assam are closed since March 20, following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
